Polygon-based NFT game Mojo Melee has joined forces with retail giants Amazon to offer free NFTs for Amazon Prime subscribers. Binance Convert effectively eliminates this problem. Slippage occurs when an insufficient amount of liquidity exists to fill the order at the user’s price target. Trading digital assets that have lower liquidity and volume can trigger slippage, leaving you potentially surprised with the actual final price. Liquidity For All: Trading via an order book puts you at the mercy of availability of the trading pair on that exchange. When trading large amounts, a fixed price is still guaranteed, making the transaction more cost-effective for the user. No Size Too Big: With Binance Convert, orders of all sizes are supported with no cap. With Binance Convert, the system offers users a sophisticated liquidity provision to secure the asset rates provided in the quote, minimizing market impact and swapping instantaneously. By the time the transaction of that size goes through, the price of BTC has potentially dropped and the price of ETH has potentially gone up. An example of this is a user who tries to sell 100 BTC to pick up ETH. Sophisticated Liquidity Provision: When a user places a large order, there is the potential for market impact which in turn can move the price up or down immediately.Zero Fees: Anyone who uses Binance Convert will be able to swap their holdings with zero fees charged to them whereas a trade will incur a fee.So why consider converting over spot trading? After the conversion is enacted, the new holding will appear in the user's spot wallet. By selecting the asset they wish to convert into, a quote is produced, lasting for only a short window as it must reflect the live market price. It also allows for crypto to crypto conversion. Binance Convert is a user-friendly feature that essentially creates a seamless on/off ramp for users looking to convert their crypto holdings. Posted to the Binance Blog on June 14th, Binance revealed that a cheaper alternative to spot trading is available on its platform. This is the floating profit/loss of the grid trade caused by the rise or fall in the market price of the base currency.Binance Convert is a user-friendly feature that allows users to convert their crypto holdings into other crypto or even fiat. Float Profit: The latest price of the base currency in the current trading pair is the base currency's average buy price. The trading fees incurred during the strategy are already deducted in the Grid Profit. Grid Profit: The realized profit of filled grid orders that are matched by one buy-order and one sell-order.Total Profit: Grid Profit + Unrealized P&L.The price ratio of each grid of Geometric is: Ratio = (Upper Price / Lower Price) ^ (1/n)*100% n= the number of grids. The price difference of each grid of Arithmetic is: Spread = (Upper Price - Lower Price) / Number of grids.Grids: Divide the interval upper limit price and interval lower limit price into corresponding shares. The system will no longer execute orders after the market price is higher than the Upper Price. Upper Price: Top of the grid trading price range. The system will no longer execute orders after the market price is lower than the Lower Price.

The screenshot below shows the typical problem created by my long-term ripping program: Putumayo's wonderful compilation of Colombian music appears as two separate albums, one containing a single track, the other containing the remaining 11: Also, from a practical perspective, my home and office stereo music needs are met by small, dedicated servers running Armbian and MPD, with the music files stored locally, running a very stripped-down, music-only headless environment, so a command-line metadata management tool would be quite useful. Not that there is anything wrong with great tag-editing software like EasyTAG, but the old saying "if all you have is a hammer…" comes to mind. I have been meaning to get familiar with metaflac, the open source command-line metadata editor for FLAC files, which is my open source music file format of choice. So if the tagging applications and music players don't show the "weirdo" tags-but are somehow affected by them-what can you do? Metaflac to the rescue! Even so, they may use them for sorting or displaying music in some edge cases, like where the player separates all the music files containing tag XYZ into a different album from all the files not containing that tag. I've also learned that some of the tags are pretty obscure, and many music players and tag editors don't show them. By "observed," I mean that music players seem to sort albums in a funny order, they split tracks in one physical directory into two albums, or they create other sorts of frustrating irritations. Over that time, I've used several different tools for ripping, and I have observed that each tool seems to have a different take on tagging, specifically, what metadata to save with the music data. I've been ripping CDs to my computer for a long time now. Following the line of thought that the browser key is offered out-of-the-box and do something very similar, I was thinking that it was very odd to leverage this to an external plugin. Hey Yehonal, I really liked your approach and this was exactly what I was looking for. Now you can use inside your code to access to all files starting from the root of your project folder.run npm install to let npm creating the link inside node_modules for you.I think that this method is even more powerful than module-alias since it works also when your package is included as dependency (while module-alias has a limitation for it). Now you can use inside your code to access to all files starting from the root of your project folder.Ĭonst m圜lass = or import m圜lass from if you want full support of visual studio code intellisense you should set the "paths" option inside your tsconfig.json or jsconfig.json: "paths": : [ Run npm install to let npm creating the link inside node_modules for you "name": Add your package as a "self-dev-dependency" pointing to the root of your project: You need to choose a unique name for your package and fill the "name" field of package.json.I've found another cool way to do it with an "npm link" trick: Very obvious what it does, especially if you pick the () one. You're simplifying the command to start your app (always simply node app), and it gives you a nice spot to put your mandatory v8 parameters! A small disadvantage might be that you need to create a separate start-up script for your unit tests as well. Your start-app command is not easy anymore, which also sucks. If you're adding it only for the currently executing program, you're going to have to specify it each time you run your app. it's not very handy for development machines which need to run multiple applications. Setting application-specific settings as environment variables globally or in your current shell is an anti-pattern if you ask me. Does not touch other require calls to node_modules. That's a big plus compared to the other magical solutions around here. However it's very obvious for the next developer what's exactly happening. /./ for _base + which is only slightly better if you ask me. You're going to have OS differences one way or another. If you're using CVS or SVN (but not Git!), this solution is a great one which works, otherwise I don't recommend this to anyone. I would only advise this for the apps relying heavily on Object-oriented design principals and design patterns. If you're building a slightly bigger application, using a IoC Container is a great way to apply DI. You might need extra steps for this solution to work with linting and unit testing though. The also looks like something special is going on, which will tip off the next developer whats going on. Great solution, and a well maintained and popular package on npm. Linux, create app.sh in your project root:Ĭonst = require ( 'module' ) const requireUtil = createRequireFromPath ( './src/utils' ) requireUtil ( './some-tool' ) Conclusion app (also for Windows PowerShell)Īn advantage of this solution is that if you want to force your node app to always be started with v8 parameters like -harmony or -use_strict, you can easily add them in the start-up script as well. With one of these solutions (6.1 & 6.2) you can start your application like this from now on: The Start-up ScriptĮffectively, this solution also uses the environment (as in 5.2), it just abstracts it away. (On Windows this command will not work if you put a space in between the path and the &. This solution will not affect your environment other than what node preceives. To have it globally available in any shell, set it in your userprofile and reload your environment. Setting a variable like this with export or set will remain in your environment as long as your current shell is open. Const Article = require ( 'app/models/article' ) 5.1. Time Spiral Remastered has a massive 100 uncommons. Considering you'll open roughly 31 rares in a box (with the other five rare slots going to mythics), the rares of Time Spiral Remastered add $114 to the value of a booster box. On the other hand, the set also has a handful of rares worth $10 or more and a bunch between $5 and $10, enough that the average value of a rare is currently $3.68, despite all of the low-value rares in the set. There are 53 in all, and 25 of them are at or near bulk (preselling for $1.50 or less). Much like the mythics of Time Spiral Remastered, the rares in the set are high variance. Adding everything together, the average value of a Time Spiral Remastered mythic is $14.06, and you'll get roughly five mythics in the typical box, which means the mythic slot adds $70.33 in expected value. It will be possible to open a box and get essentially zero value from the mythic slot but also possible to open a box that has more than $100 in value just from the five mythics. As of this writing, there are five mythics worth $20 or more but also five Tree of Redemption–level mythics worth $2 or less. This means that the mythic slot is going to have a lot of variance on a box-by-box basis. There are a total of 15 mythics in Time Spiral Remastered, ranging from the $50 Sliver Legion to the $1 Hypergenesis. Let's start with an easy one: the mythics. So when you get to the end of the article and look at the expected value of a Time Spiral Remastered box, keep in mind that if your plan is to crack boxes and sell the cards for profit, you should probably discount the expected value by 25% (or possibly more) to account for the fact that it's really difficult for a random player to get full retail price for their singles. While Card Kingdom's pricing should give a pretty good idea of how much you'd have to pay if you wanted to buy the cards on the open market, the downside to this methodology is that it likely over-estimates how much you can sell your cards for because as an individual, you're likely not going to be able to get as much as a professional vendor can. Oh yeah, one other thing before we get into it: for this expected-value calculation, I'm using Card Kingdom's pricing (which is actually much, much lower than TCG Mid at the moment). The plan for today is simple: we're going to walk through the set rarity by rarity, figure out how much each rarity adds to the expected value of the box, talk about old-border cards, and then finally add everything together to get the expected value of a box. While normal old-border cards are easy enough to calculate (you'll open one per pack, and many vendors have presales listed, so we can easily find prices), foil old-border cards are a problem since they are extremely rare and major vendors aren't preselling them, but more on that in a bit. Time Spiral Remastered specifically has some unique quirks, especially with the Time Shifted / old-border card slot. While money isn't everything and there are plenty of reasons to open a box even if the value is bad (for fun, for drafting, etc.), if you're going to spend $200 on a box of cardboard, ideally, you'd like to know that the cardboard you open will be worth the investment. Basically, it's an attempt to figure out of a box is worth buying from a purely financial perspective. If you're not familiar with the concept of expected value, the idea is to figure out how much value you should expect to open in an average box. Time Spiral Remastered will be released this week, which means it's time to take a look at the set's expected value. When a tenant is filling out the checklist they should remember to: The checklist may also serve as a written record if the property owner denies a tenant a security deposit return or if there’s a legal dispute in the future. It ensures that landlords and property managers keep the units in good condition, identify items that need to be repaired, and will help hold previous tenants accountable for any damage they caused while living in the space. It helps tenants evaluate and record the condition of the property during the move-in process. The move-in checklist provides the same protection to a new tenant. Making note of pre-existing damage can help minimize disputes between landlords and tenant-related to returning the security deposit. This checklist protects landlords and will hold tenants accountable for any damages to the unit beyond the normal wear and tear. The move-in checklist is a document that should be provided to tenants during the move-in process – preferably before they move into their new apartment. Whether you’re renting in Indianapolis, or a landlord in Dallas, it’s important to understand what a move-in checklist is and how to complete it. As a landlord, the document can be used to prove that certain damages were done by the previous tenant and help keep the rental property in good condition. As a tenant, it ensures that you won’t be charged for any damages or appliance failures you didn’t cause. When written correctly, the checklist offers security to both tenants and landlords. A move-in checklist also called an apartment inspection checklist or a rental walkthrough checklist is a document that allows landlords and tenants to state the current condition of the property and take note of any damages beyond normal wear and tear. Before tenants start unpacking their boxes and settling into their new rental property, there’s one very important document that needs to be completed, the move-in checklist. For example, for one carefully specified replacement job Checkbook's undercover shoppers received price quotes from area companies that ranged from $3,384 to $6,000. You'll find enormous price differences for the same windows and work. Once you've decided on a window model, obtain several written price quotes. Unfortunately, in addition to making sketchy claims about the environment and energy savings, some companies abuse customers with high-pressure sales tactics and substandard products and installations. Know that choosing a good installer is as important as choosing the right windows. Also compare warranties: Better-sealed window units tend to come with warranties of 20 years or more and don't prorate reductions in the covered value as time passes. It periodically tests about 15 models for resistance to wind and rain. Check claims about energy savings with info available from the independent Efficient Windows Collaborative ( For information on durability, check Consumer Reports. Fiberglass models top the price list.ĭespite what you might hear from a salesperson, new windows that replace old, drafty ones won't pay for themselves in energy savings. In general, vinyl is the least expensive option and wood usually is midrange with exterior-clad wood more expensive. You'll find a very wide price range for each type of frame material. Ignore them and you might have to tear out what you install. For example, preservation officials or homeowners association rules might ban vinyl windows or specify certain types of window muntins (grids). If you live in a historic district or a neighborhood with a homeowners association, find out what is allowed. You'll want windows appropriate for your house's architecture and your neighborhood. And if you are adding or enlarging windows or doing new construction, get ideas online and from home design magazines. Ask staffers to explain features and installation techniques and grab catalogs to peruse later. Start window shopping by visiting installer showrooms. To make your search for new windows easier, Star Tribune readers can access Twin Cities Consumers' Checkbook's unbiased ratings of local window installers until Dec. Plus, ratings that Checkbook receives from local homeowners indicate some companies often supply their customers with substandard products and do lousy installation work. While some contractors tout resulting energy savings as a reason to invest in their window wares, their extravagant claims and estimates often are sketchy. But new views come with a steep price tag. There are many reasons that replacing your old windows seems like a bright idea. The width and length is designed as per the safety norms. "It's funny?" She asks, referring to the girl's laugh. "Fifteen," the girl responds, leading Gooch to do some simple math and promising to see her in three years when she's eighteen. When one girl starts laughing, she unhappily asks for her age. Gooch doesn't care, though, instead launching into a very loud lecture about how no one wants to be where she is, and she'll see them soon if they keep on the bad track. So, of course, the teens are directed to her for a little face-to-face time.Īfter the guard explains why there are so many papers on Gooch's cell door, the most prominent reading, "Leg Iron Control Status," seeing as she likes to bend it like Beckham with people, she asks Gooch how she's doing. She's one of her prison's most difficult inmates, due to the fact that she tends to kick and generally cause difficulties when let out of her cell. But, you know, that's not really a theory we'd like to test out. The only explanation we can come up with is that perhaps he turns the quite literal pain into art (he claims to be a "rapper"), since that's not terribly uncommon. "Some of you, I can tell already, will be made and turned into their lovers," he says seriously, as the camera pans to the toothpaste kid, Julio, who's got an odd sort of smirk on his face, but we can assume that's from the paralyzing fear.Īlso, we have to ask, what's with Julio's claim that he was stabbed and nearly killed five times? You'd hope that, after, say, about the third time, he might think that maybe he'd be a little tired of almost dying, but clearly he finds some appeal in it because he talks like it's a badge of honor. Asking the teens to stand with their arms spread out, the guard instructs them not to hold hands, before thoughtfully adding a little gem of a quote. When these guards perform a clothed search on each of the incoming teens, they don't hesitate to slam the kids with their knowledge of what goes on behind the not-so-closed doors in their prison. In honor of Beyond Scared Straight's second season premiere, tonight at 10pm ET, here are our ten favorite clips from Season One, which basically consists of asshole teens being kicked off their stolen high horses by guards and inmates alike. Also, it's succeeded in scaring us shitless as well. Partly based off the '79, Peter Falk-narrated documentary Scared Straight, the A&E series has been a huge success for both the network and the teens involved. The idea, as the title suggests, is to "scare" them out of a life of crime. A&E ‘s Beyond Scared Straight participant Ashley Tropez has died in what police say was an apparent homicide. The show, if you're not familiar, specializes in taking troubled, delinquent teens, chosen by real counselors, and sending them to tour a real prison where they're treated practically like inmates themselves. However, some kids, as evidenced on A&E's reality show Beyond Scared Straight, don't seem to see it that way, going so far as to snicker and laugh when the subject of their criminal nature is brought up. Despite some evidence to the contrary, prison is no joke. |
